Educational Objectives

This major is dedicated to training application-oriented environmental design talents, who show an international design culture vision, understand the characteristics of Chinese design culture, and accommodate the needs of the era defined by innovation, as well as advanced applied professionals, who mainly learn the knowledge of design theories, design methods and design performance of interior and landscape designs, focus on cultivating practical and creative design capabilities, have a better social adaptability and communication ability, are capable of integrating the knowledge of decorative materials and process and blending practicality with artistry and fashion with tradition, and keep the pulse on the status and developing frontier of this major.

Fundamental Courses

Fundamentals of Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Designs, Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing, Rendering Techniques, Computer-Aided Design (Photoshop, CAD, 3D Max, Sketch up), Residential Space Design, Commercial Space Design, Office Space Design, Landscape Design, Landscape Greening Design, Community Planning and Design, Display Design, Furniture and Furnishings, Outdoor Sketch Design, Building Decoration Materials, Building Decoration Construction, and Project Estimate and Budget, etc.

Job Prospects

Graduates may be engaged in decoration design and design planning and publicity work in enterprises and public institutions, or serve as senior designers and professional designers in interior and exterior decoration design companies.
