Educational Objectives:
This major is set to train applied senior technical personnel, who adapt to the needs of social and economic development, establish an all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding, possess basic theoretical knowledge, basic experimental skills and extensive expertise in chemistry, biology and pharmacy, and are able to work for research institutions, universities as well as medicine, chemistry, chemical engineering, food, biology, light industry, environment and materials and other enterprises and public sectors on scientific research and teaching, process design, production technology improvement, new product development, quality control, enterprise management and market development, among others.

Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Drawing, Biochemistry, Drug Synthesis Reaction, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Reaction Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Workshop Process Design.
Job Orientation:
This major is categorized into applied science, with a large social demand, a wide range of career opportunities, and a good employment situation. After graduation, students may work on creation, product development, process design, teaching research, scientific management and technical services in scientific research institutes, design institutes, colleges and universities as well as related companies specialized in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, chemical engineering and others. Also, they may engage in the technology development, production management, marketing and scientific research of food, health food, daily chemicals, pesticides and veterinary drugs in the fields of food, light industry, materials and agriculture related to chemistry, biology, and pharmaceutical technology.
