Educational Objectives
This major aims to train high-quality applied talents with a solid professional foundation, extensive knowledge strong practical ability and a spirit of innovation, who accommodate the needs of national economic development, pursue an overall development in moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit, have a mastery of the basic theories and expertise of automation, are able to engage in system design, development, maintenance, technology management, teaching and scientific research, and other work in the automation engineering and technology space including process automation systems, motion control systems, automation instrumentation and testing, computer control systems, information processing, management and decision-making.

PLC Technology, Fundamentals of Electrical Machines and Drive, Electric Drive Automatic Control System, Process Control, Computer Control and Interface Technology, Principles of Circuits, Automatic Control Principles, Sensing and Detection Technology, Microcomputer Principles and Single-Chip Microcomputer, System Design and Simulation, Programming and other courses.

After graduation, students of this major can take on the following jobs: 1. the design, equipment development and manufacturing, system operations and maintenance of automation systems as well as the design, program development, system maintenance, and data analysis of automation system architectures in industrial manufacturing, transportation, electric power equipment, mechanical equipment and other enterprises; 2. the development and equipment research of automatic control technology as well as the development and automatic control technical services of automatic control systems in scientific research institutes and R&D departments of large-scale enterprises; 3. the design, development, testing, operations and maintenance of electronic products in various electronic development companies.
