This major is established to train high-quality applied talents who have a systematic mastery of the knowledge of urban water supply engineering, drainage engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, water pollution control planning, water resources utilization and protection and others, are able to engage in the planning, design, construction, and management of plumbing engineering, and prepare well for working for municipal engineering design, construction, supervision and scientific research organizations as well as construction administrative divisions, environmental protection administrations, water companies, fire-fighting equipment manufacturers, real estate development and other sectors.
Fundamental Courses
The fundamental courses include Engineering Surveying, Water Quality Engineering (Water Supply Engineering, Drainage Engineering), Plumbing Engineering, Plumbing System, Plumbing Engineering Construction, and Water Process Instrumentation and Control, etc. The main practical teaching activities include experiments of various fundamental courses, drawing training, surveying practice, water supply plant course design, sewage plant course design, building plumbing course design, water quality analysis experiments, cognitive practice, production practice, graduation practice, and graduation design.

Graduates are mainly engaged in water supply engineering, drainage engineering, plumbing engineering and similar professional work.
