Educational Objectives

This major is a key discipline cultivated in colleges and universities in Hubei Province. It aims to foster senior applied professionals who have a systematic mastery of financial management and related financial, accounting, taxation, legal and other expertise, learn professional operating skills in financial accounting, corporate finance, asset evaluation, tax planning, financial investment and other areas, and are capable of working on finance, accounting, and financial management in industrial and commercial enterprises, financial insurance companies, accounting firms, public institutions and government sectors.

(1) Professional theoretical courses: Principles of Management, Micro/Macroeconomics, Accounting Principles, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management, Financial Analysis, Finance, and Securities Investment, etc.;

(2) Professional training courses: Basic Accounting Training, Intermediate Financial Accounting Training, Special Financial Management Training, ERP Information System Training, Portfolio Investment Training, and Comprehensive Virtual Practice in Accounting, etc.

Job Prospects

At present, there is a large shortage yet strong demand for financial management professionals across China. According to the statistical analysis of previous graduations, the major opportunities for graduates to be employed are as follows: (1) financial management, financial accounting, and fund management in enterprises; (2) economic analysis, financial consulting, portfolio investment, and securities brokerage services in securities companies, commercial banks and other financial institutions; (3) finance, accounting and taxation in government sectors after passing the national civil service examination; (4) continuing to study for a master's degree in universities at home and abroad based on the existing major.
