Undergraduate Program   Duration: 4 years

Objective: We cultivate compound foreign language talent with strong employability. The students are required to have solid English language skills and comprehensive abilities in listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation and interpretation, and master relevant translation knowledge in a certain professional field (choosing between business translation and film & TV translation).

We have established long-term partnership with Transn, the fifth largest translation company in the world, to offer rich internship activities. With high pass rates of band-4 and band-8 examinations for English majors, our graduates have been well received by employers.

Main courses: Translation Theories and Skills, English-Chinese Translation, Chinese-English Translation, Consecutive Interpretation, Computer-Aided Translation, Comprehensive English, and Sight Translation, etc.

Career prospects: Being competent in translation, consecutive interpreting, and foreign-related communication with CATTI level 3 or above, our graduates can work on interpretation and project management in foreign trade enterprises and translation agencies.
