Bachelor’s degree (four years)


Training objectives: To equip the students with a strong understanding of the Chinese language and literature, the ability to speak and write in Mandarin, and the skills in Chinese education, new media writing and operation, cultural brand planning and management, intangible cultural heritage protection and research.


Characteristics advantages: This program features a teaching team at the provincial level in Hubei Province, which is composed of well-known professors, associate professors, and PhD holders. The program has two provincial academic platforms, namely the Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center and the Cultural Brand Research Institute, which are jointly built by the central departments. Under the guidance of the original concept of “Wenhua Chinese +,” the program focus on the course of Chinese Language and Literature, reinforced by other courses such as Chinese Education, New Media Writing, Brand Management, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection.


Main courses: Ancient Chinese, Modern Chinese, Overview of Literature, History of Chinese and Foreign Literature (ancient, modern, contemporary, and foreign), Chinese Pedagogy, New Media Writing, Brand Communication, and Overview of Intangible Cultural Heritage.


Employment prospects: To work as a teacher in a school or institution; to engage in publicity (new media), intangible cultural heritage management, brand planning, or executive administration in an enterprise or institution; to work as a reporter or editor in the media industry; or to continue studies in a postgraduate program.
