Training objectives: This program equips the students with the theory and skills of urban and rural planning and the ability to operate projects, engage in urban and rural planning/design and landscape planning/design, and meet the requirements of a registered planner.

Characteristic advantages: To focus on the training in planning and design and improve the practical ability of the students, this program has established planning studios and student entrepreneurship teams. In recent years, the teachers have led the students on assignments for the spatial planning of national land and the construction of the beautiful countryside in Hubei, Shanxi, and Guangdong, which has been highly praised by the partners. In addition, the program has signed agreements with multiple planning institutes and organizations which are capable of providing internship and employment opportunities for the students. More than 21% of the graduates have been accepted into the master’s degree programs of key universities, including the Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Wuhan University of Technology. The average employment rate for the students of this program has been maintained over 95%.

Employment prospects: To engage in planning, planning management, or technical services in an enterprise, company, or research department involved in planning and design, landscape design, real estate, or municipal administration.
