Wuhan Business and Trade Vocational College

Wuhan Business and Trade Vocational College, a fully accredited public higher education institution approved by Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, is strategically positioned across two campuses in Wuhan and Hong'an, covering a combined area of 1,287 mu (approximately 212 acres). Since its establishment, the College has consistently attracted a diverse student body from over 20 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions throughout China, successfully cultivating more than 60,000 high-caliber, technically skilled professionals for society. In recognition of its excellence in its overall educational prowess, in 2018, the College ranked within the top 300 institutions out of 1,386 nationwide vocational colleges following a comprehensive assessment. Building upon this achievement, in 2021, it was designated as a project-based institution for the high-level professional construction cluster in Hubei Province, further solidifying its dedication to excellence in vocational education.


The College has currently accommodated a full-time enrollment of over 16,000 students and maintains a faculty and staff of 1,033 members, comprised predominantly of 854 full-time instructors and 182 part-time lecturers. Among the full-time faculty, 62.57% hold dual qualifications as both educators and practitioners. Over the past five years, the faculty's scholarly contributions have been substantial, including the publication of 634 research papers, the undertaking or leadership of 102 national and provincial research projects, the acquisition of 165 patents, and the publication of 108 textbooks or monographs, all of which serve to highlight the College's steadfast dedication to the advancement of knowledge. In parallel, the students have demonstrated their exceptional abilities in competitive domains, garnering a total of 477 accolades, comprising 156 national distinctions and 165 provincial honors, thus highlighting the College's holistic strategy in fostering talent.


The College is structured with eight secondary schools (departments), comprising the School of Modern Business Technology, the School of Modern Management Technology, the School of Modern Information Technology, the School of Modern Industrial Technology, the School of Modern Arts and Education, the School of Medical Nursing and Health, the School of General Education, and the School of Continuing Education, offering a total of 51 programs for admission. Among these, it boasts 1 national key program, 2 provincial-level key programs, 1 provincial-level brand program, 2 provincial-level characteristic programs, and 1 project-based provincial-level high-level professional construction cluster. In 2023, it also secured recognition as a provincial-level Skills Competition Base in Hubei Province and established 2 municipal-level Skills Competition Bases in Wuhan, while maintaining 259 on-campus laboratories and training facilities, as well as 118 off-campus internship and training bases, all of which have strengthened its position as a leading center for applied skills training in the region.
