News Report (Reporter Wang Qin)On July 30,the semi-final of the 7th China International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end in Hubei University of Technology. The project named Multi-model Combined Intelligent Water Cleaning System won the gold medal under the guidance of teachers Xu Taoyi, Kang Zhina, Tu Yangyang of our Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. The project named Blue Sky Guard--Industrial Polluted Gas Monitors Culvert UAV won the silver award guided by teachers Chen Yuan, Yu Qiuyue and Chen Jian. Happy Baby--Multi-type Intelligent Baby Stroller Based on the Sustainable Design won the bronze award in the 4th CCB Cup I Dream·Chutian Innovators Competition. Our participating results hit a record high.
The gold medal project --Multi-model Combined Intelligent Water Cleaning System can customize cleaning services according to different customer needs, such as providing sales and rental of multi-model combined intelligent water cleaning system, customized water cleaning services, booking and outsourcing door-to-door cleaning services to satisfy the broad needs of different customers. The project can provide the one-stop Internet service of production, operation and maintenance. It is highly matched with the national ecological construction and development strategy to make the Province of A Thousand Lakes shining.

Our six teachers-- Xu Taoyi, Kang Zhina, Tu Yangyang, Chen Yuan, Yu Qiuyue and Chen Jian formulated scientific and reasonable scheme in the preparing period. They firmly grasped the details of the competition and led their team students overcome difficulties of mechanical design and motor control, and then revised their project document for almost 10 times. Finally, the project was unanimously praised by the judges.
“When we were preparing for the competition, Ms. Xu was on the maternity leave. Even at that time, Ms. Xu insisted on providing guidance to us every week and followed us to the competition site to guide our pre-competition preparations. It was because of her spirit that we won the honor for our school in the competition.” Qin Kun, a participating student, said.
Ms. Xu, Teaching Deputy Director of the Department said: “Participating in external science and technology competition has always been a bright spot in our department. After several years of efforts, our department has created an excellent atmosphere for students to participate in the competition actively, established a relatively matured competition team and formed the mechanism of helping and guiding. Under the efforts of all teachers and students in our department, we lived up to the expectations this year and achieve a satisfactory result. I hope our teachers and students can make persistent efforts and get greater achievements in the future competitions.”
This year the participation scale and the categories of the 7th China International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have reached an all-time high. More than 68,000 projects of 305,000 people from 131 schools were handed in to compete in the competition in total. After the preliminary competition of each school, 3082 projects entered the provincial competition. After online evaluation, 907 projects got into the quarter-final. Among them, only 329 projects were chosen to go on to the on-site semi-final. These projects cover all walks of life from big data, artificial intelligence, chip technology to smart environmental protection and rural revitalization.
It is reported that this year our school has 798 projects to participate in this competition. In total, we has won 1 gold medal, 3 silver awards, 1 bronze award and 3 bronze awards in the 4th CCB Cup I Dream·Chutian Innovators Competition.
