Educational Objectives
This major is created to foster high-quality skilled talents who possess basic theoretical knowledge and skills of architectural equipment engineering technology, and be able to engage in construction and installation, operations management and maintenance, and engineering supervision of architectural equipment such as HVAC, indoor and outdoor plumbing, and building electrical and building intelligence, as well as planning and design of small and medium-sized installation projects and other jobs provided by enterprises and government-supported organizations related to the installation engineering design, construction, engineering cost and supervision of equipment such as HVAC systems, gas systems and fire extinguishing systems.
Fundamental Courses
Building Materials and Testing, Pumps and Fans, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Heating Engineering, Building Plumbing, Electrical Fire Protection and Security, Installation Construction and Management, Installation Engineering Measurement and Pricing, Project Bidding and Contract Management, etc. Main practical activities include various main course experiments, building materials and testing practice, HVAC engineering curriculum design, building plumbing curriculum design, electrical fire protection and security fool proof design, cognitive practice, and post practice.
Job Prospects
Graduate of this major may work for architectural installation construction enterprises, equipment manufacturers, construction supervision companies, urban property management and other related enterprises and management departments in the following positions: engineering design, engineering supervision, manufacturing and assembly, technical support and marketing, construction and installation, commissioning and operations, maintenance management, bidding and contract management, project cost and others of HVAC, building plumbing, and building electrical equipment, as well as community property management. Outstanding graduates can continue to pursue a bachelor’s degree based on current junior college education, possibly followed by a master's degree.
