Objective: The major aims to cultivate applied talents able to engage in music studies, management, education and activities in various institutions, who have morality, wisdom, physical body and aesthetics at the same time, cater to the needs of society, have fundamental disciplinary knowledge, theoretical knowledge of music education, solid professional skills and occupational skills, strong ability in learning, practicing and innovation, and have potential for further development.  

Major courses: Music theory, ear training for video and singing, harmony, musical form, polyphony, introduction to Chinese traditional music, history of Chinese music, history of western music, introduction to art, music aesthetics, introduction to music education and teaching materials and methods, music appreciation, piano, vocal music, instrumental music, etc.

Degree conferred: Bachelor of art

Potential employment: Schools, performance troupes,artistic research institutes, culture administration, publishers, radio, TV and film departments.
