Objectives: The major, in an effort to cater to the needs of socialist market economy, aims to cultivate the applied professionals, who have morality, wisdom and strong body at the same time, have wonderful political quality and morality, proficient in basic skills of English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, master business theory and practice, possess comprehensive knowledge structure, have solid foundation of English and business theory, and are able to engage in foreign-related business, English teaching and translation after graduation.

Major courses: Basic English, advanced English, business English reading, business English practical writing, business correspondence, business negotiation in oral English, translation theory and practice, international trade practice, and international business law, etc.

Degree conferred: Bachelor of literature

Potential employment: Work in foreign-related business, interpretation and translation, and economic management in the departments of foreign affairs, economic cooperation with foreign countries, culture, tourism and business, etc.
