Objective: This major aims to cultivate teachers who can teach basic English, and who can cultivate English talents able to meet the needs of social and economic development in foreign trade and tourism.

Major courses: Basic English, English pronunciation, English grammar, English audio-visual, oral English, English writing, introduction to linguistics, selected readings of literary history and literary works of major English-speaking countries, basic facts of major English-speaking countries, translation theory and practice, English teaching theories and methods, English testing theories and methods, etc.

Degree conferred:Bachelor of literature
