Pharmacy (Undergraduate Degree Program)

(This major is a new major set by our school in 2020, with high social attention and large industry demand. Our school has invested a lot of resources for the development of the faculty and laboratory.)


Educational Objectives:


This major aims to cultivate high-level talents in pharmacy, who lay equal stress on integrity and ability, systematically master the basic theoretical knowledge and experimental skills of pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, natural medicinal chemistry, drug analysis and pharmacology, acquire the basic theories and basic experimental techniques of clinical medication, understand the screening methods of drugs and their preparations as well as the principles and methods of drug identification, inspection and content determination, develop the basic knowledge of drug administration and pharmaceutical regulations, and are capable of working on the development, research, production, quality inspection, and identification of various drugs as well as the rational use of clinical drugs.


Fundamental Courses:


Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Immunology, Instrumental Analysis, Natural Medicinal Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacodynamics, and Science of Pharmacy Administration.


Job Prospects:


(1) clinical pharmacy in provincial and municipal grade A secondary and tertiary hospitals as well as pharmacy departments of emergency centers, and social pharmacies, etc.;


(2) drug sales, medication consulting and others in pharmaceutical companies and chain pharmacies; after passing the exam for licensed pharmacist qualification, students can open pharmacies as a legal person;


(3) Pharmaceutical companies are engaged in drug production, research, quality control, etc.;


(4) drug supervision, management, inspection and other jobs in government drug supervision and management departments;


(5) the research and development of new drugs in research institutes, institutions of higher learning, and pharmaceutical companies;


(6) drug dispensing, medication and health rehabilitation, medication consulting and others in nursing homes and rehabilitation institutions;


(7) professional pharmacy services in customs, quality inspection, quality supervision and other departments;

(8) pharmacy related work in provincial and municipal pharmacy associations, education, training and other fields.
