Bachelor’s degree (four years)

Training objectives: This program equips the students with the professional skills and basic scientific thinking ability needed for registered architects; the ability to engage in architectural design, urban design, urban/rural planning, landscape design; and a strong capability of innovation.

Characteristic advantages: This program cultivates professionalism, innovation, and creativity through imparting the professional knowledge of architectural design, urban design and planning, architectural structures, and other related aspects, combined with systematic training in the classroom and practical jobs for design Institutes, so that graduates can be equipped with the basic qualities of a professional architect, laying a solid foundation for their further studies. Students of this program have won the third prize in the UIA-HYP Cup 2015 International Student Competition in Architectural Design, ranking first among Chinese colleges and universities.

Main courses: Principles of Architectural Design, Design of Construction Drawings, Chinese Architectural History, Foreign Architectural History, Special Research on Design, Architectural Structures, Architectural Mechanics, Architectural Physics, etc.

Employment prospects: To work as an architectural designer, an urban designer, an environmental/landscape designer, or a planning manager in a design institute or a design company; or work in the real estate industry or any other related industry.
